Elisabeth Proust, Total E&P UK Ltd

Managing Director

Elisabeth is managing director of Total E&P UK and group representative for all Total subsidiaries in the UK. She graduated in Mechanics and Marine Hydrodynamics from the Mechanical Engineering School (Nantes) and obtained a degree in Petroleum Engineering at the French Petroleum Institute (Paris). Elisabeth joined Elf Aquitaine (now Total) as a junior drilling supervisor and worked in affiliates of the company in Cameroon, Brazil, Angola and France as a drilling supervisor (offshore and deep offshore) and subsea specialist. She was head of drilling engineering (Pau) before moving to the Netherlands as head of non-operated follow-up, head of development for operated assets and project manager for the offshore K5 central complex. Elisabeth was responsible for technical evaluation of new assets, project manager for new business in Russia, and production and operations manager in the Netherlands.

From 2004 to 2008 she was vice president development engineering and head of petroleum engineering competence for Total worldwide. In 2008, she was appointed president and general manager for Total E&P Indonesia and president of the Oil & Gas Association of Indonesia. In 2014, Elisabeth became managing director and chief executive of all Total Upstream companies in Nigeria and President of the Oil and Gas Association OPTS. She holds the Légion d’Honneur.
